About AITD

Founded in 1971, the AITD is the association of choice for professionals in training, learning and development. Our mission is to be a leader in fostering excellence, innovation and professional integrity in training, learning and development for the workplace. By being a member you will belong to a professional body dedicated to the same goals. 

The three strands of the value of AITD membership are summed up in our motto:

Innovate. Build your knowledge of the latest approaches to developing people and successful organisations. Nowhere is it more important to stay in touch to stay in touch with trends than in training, learning and development.

Learn. By joining AITD you demonstrate your commitment to the profession and gain access to a range of professional development activities. Membership entitles you to apply for AITDs Accredited Practitioner status.

Connect. Joining AITD will enable you to establish a network of professional peers and contacts. Attend local and national events, become involved in special interest groups, and become listed in the AITD Trainers Database, the listing of "who's who" in the field of in training, learning and development.

The AITD is a not-for profit association and is fully owned by members.
