INNOVATIVE TRAINING METHODS Designed for trainers who are seeking fresh ideas and
games to
energise groups and keep them engaged
Trainers often are seeking creative and alternative ways to
train staff.
This workshop aims to enhance the existing skills of
trainers and will
provide simple tips in order to make approach to each
training day an
exciting event for participants and the trainer alike.
Workshop outcomes
You will learn how to:
• Create synergy within a training group from the outset
• Maintain energy and attention
• Refocus groups when attention strays
• Adapt delivery techniques to suit the dynamics of the
group
Agenda
Morning
• Starters to focus concentration
• Respecting adult learning principles while having fun in
training
• Setting ground rules in their own words
• Moving the focus of the group without fuss or threat
• Utilising how people learn in activities
• Keeping group focus whilst covering vast amounts of
information
Afternoon
• Present training in systematic and entertaining ways
• Modifying delivery techniques when required
• Activities to revise content and terminology
• Developing resources for the whole training team to use
• Closing the session with panache
Presented by Catherine Logue
Catherine has been training facilitators and trainers for 17
years,
however she has been coaching people managers for 25 years.
Some of those skills we need as trainers are the same as
those we need
daily for interaction in the workplace & home, so the
learning
enhances the quality of work life and multi-skills the
staff. Catherine
uses the fundamentals of adult learning principles &
creative
techniques which ensure fun and learning. Her style allows
adaptation of
the techniques explored to your own needs in the training
role, as well
as the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills, and
collect more
techniques for your training kitbag.
