What it Means for Learning and Development Professionals
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping how work is performed, the capabilities organisations require, and the skills that must be developed across the workforce. From specialist AI development roles to general workforce capabilities such as AI literacy, prompting and critical evaluation of AI outputs, the demand for new skills is growing quickly across industries.
At the national level, the Australian Government has tasked the Future Skills Organisation (FSO) with developing a baseline National AI Skills Report to understand the skills Australia needs to compete in an AI-driven economy and where investment in workforce capability should be focused.
In this AITD webinar, Kathryn McGilvray and Tim Burt will explore the emerging national conversation on AI skills and what it means for organisations, workforce capability and the learning and development profession.
Together they will discuss the evolving skills landscape, the emerging capability frameworks around AI literacy and specialist AI capabilities, and how L&D professionals play a critical role in building an AI-enabled workforce.
Participants will gain insight into the national skills agenda and consider the practical implications for capability development, learning strategy and organisational readiness.
