Same-day cancellations and non-attendance
Same-day cancellations and non-attendance will not be refunded. The following transfer options may be available at the discretion of AITD:
Medical exemption: If you are unable to attend on the day due to illness, you may request a transfer to an alternative course date or a credit note (valid for 8 months) by providing a medical certificate from an Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registered medical practitioner within five (5) working days of the scheduled course date. Failure to provide the medical certificate within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of all fees paid, with no option for transfer, credit or refund.
Other same-day cancellations: For same-day cancellations due to reasons other than illness (such as a family emergency), registration may be transferred to an alternative course date subject to a twenty percent (20%) administration fee. The transfer must be requested within 24 hours of the scheduled course commencement time.
Further transfers: Further transfers requested within five (5) working days of the rescheduled course date will generally not be available, except for medical reasons supported by a medical certificate.
Non-attendance: Failure to attend without prior notification will result in forfeiture of all fees paid, with no option for transfer, credit or refund.
Registration may be transferred to a substitute attendee at any time up to the course date, provided full payment has been received by AITD. No additional fees apply except the price difference between a member and non-member registration, if applicable.
Registrations cannot be transferred once the course has commenced.
AITD reserves the right to vary the program, timings, presenters, facilitators and speakers where necessary, and retains the right to cancel a course, webinar, mentoring program or local event at any time. If AITD cancels an event, attendees will be offered a full refund, a credit note or a transfer of registration to a future event.
Where circumstances beyond AITD's control, including government regulations or public health directions, restrict or prohibit a planned face-to-face event, AITD reserves the right to postpone the event or deliver it virtually. If the event is postponed and you cannot attend the new dates, or you do not wish to attend virtually, you may transfer your registration to a substitute attendee or receive a credit note for the full amount, valid for 12 months.
AITD is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred in relation to any changed, postponed or cancelled events, courses or conferences.
AITD may photograph, film, record or livestream its courses, webinars, events and conferences for educational, promotional, archival and marketing purposes.
By attending an AITD event, whether in person or online, you consent to your image, likeness, voice and any contributions you make being captured and used by AITD in any medium, including on the AITD website, social media channels, publications and member communications, without compensation.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please notify the event organiser prior to or at the commencement of the event, and AITD will take reasonable steps to accommodate your request. AITD cannot guarantee exclusion from wide-angle, crowd or incidental footage.
Attendees must not record or livestream any part of an AITD event without prior written permission from AITD.
All AITD events comply with applicable state and federal health requirements and any venue policies. If you are unwell with a contagious illness on the day of a face-to-face event, we ask that you do not attend and contact the event organiser at your earliest convenience. A transfer to an alternative course date or a credit note (valid for 8 months) is available under the Medical Exemption provisions above, subject to providing a medical certificate from an AHPRA registered medical practitioner within five (5) working days of the scheduled course date.
To be accepted into AITD's mentoring program, you must hold a current annual AITD membership. Your membership must be renewed if it is due to expire during the term of the program.
If your membership expires during the program and is not renewed, your mentoring subscription may be disrupted or placed on hold until the renewal is complete.
