This statement sets out the terms and conditions for use of the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) website ”the website”.
When you access the website, AITD may collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the AITD Privacy Statement. You agree that by accessing the website you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with all these terms and conditions, then you cannot use the website and you must discontinue use immediately.
We reserve the right to make changes or modifications to these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason. We will alert you to any changes by updating the “last updated” date of these terms and conditions, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each change. It is your responsibility to periodically review these terms and conditions to stay informed of updates. You have accepted the changes in any revised terms and conditions by your continued use of the website, after the date the revised terms and conditions are posted.
Intellectual Property Rights
The website is our proprietary property and all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, videos, text, photographs and graphics on the website (collectively, “the content”) and the trademarks and logos are owned, controlled or are licensed to AITD. These items are protected by copyright and trademark laws and cannot be used without AITD’s consent.
You may not access or use the website for any purpose other than that for which we make the website available. The website may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by AITD.
Using the Website
By using the website, you represent and warrant that:
- all membership, event, course and conference registration information you submit will be true, accurate, current, and complete and you will promptly inform AITD of any changes to the information
- you have the legal capacity and you agree to comply with these terms and conditions
- you will not access the website through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise
- you will not use the website for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- your use of the website will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete we may deactivate your registration for any event, course or conference and contact you for the correct and current information before reactivation of your registration.
Misuse of the Website
You agree to use this website in accordance with these terms and conditions of use and applicable law. You may be personally liable for any unlawful use of this website.
The website may invite you to chat, contribute to or participate in blogs, message boards, online forums and other options. These contributions may be viewable by other users of the website and through third-party websites. Any contributions you transmit may be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. When a comment is posted on the AITD blog or any other AITD comment option, the contributor’s name will be displayed. All comments are monitored and will be removed from the blog if they are considered offensive or abusive by AITD and your access to the blog/comment option will be removed.
By submitting content to this website, you grant AITD a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display the content without any compensation, restriction of use or liability. You warrant the content is yours and does not infringe the rights or privacy of a third party.
This licence will apply to any form, media, or technology now known or hereafter developed and includes our use of your name, company name and franchise name, as applicable, and any of the trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and personal and commercial images you provide.

We invite you to register a membership through the AITD website. By becoming a member, you agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim or change a username you select if we determine that such username is inappropriate, obscene or otherwise objectionable.
Individual memberships are not transferable to other individuals. Corporate members may transfer membership between employees providing the replacement employee meet the Institute’s criteria for membership. Refunds are NOT provided for unused periods of membership for either individual or corporate members.
The following terms and conditions apply when registering for an AITD event, course and conference,
AITD requires ten (10) working days’ prior notice, in writing, for any cancellation by an attendee to an event, course or conference, to obtain a refund. If a cancellation is made ten (10) working days prior to the event, a twenty percent (20%) cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. If the invoice for the event, course or conference is unpaid the cancellation fee will be payable to AITD.
Cancellations made less than ten (10) working days prior to an event, course or conference, including non-attendance on the day by the attendee, the event, course or conference fee for attendance will not be refunded. Any unpaid invoices issued for the event, course or conference will be considered outstanding for payment. The registered delegate may transfer the registration to a substitute attendee providing full payment for the event, course or conference has been received by AITD. No additional fees are payable except, if applicable, the price difference between a member and non-member registration.
AITD retains the right to cancel an event, course or conference and will offer a full refund, credit or transfer the registration to a future event. AITD is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs that you may have incurred in relation to any cancelled events, courses and conferences.
Payment of Fees
All events must be paid for in advance and attendees will receive confirmation of their registration within five (5) working days after receipt of the order. Pre-release and early bird registration fees must be paid by the expiry date. AITD will take active steps to collect any outstanding fees including engagement of a collection agency.
AITD reserves the right to vary the program, presenters and speakers where necessary. Delegates and sponsors may be given a list of all registered delegates identifying your name and basic contact details only. Receipt of your registration form will confirm consent for your details to be added to the delegate list. Should you wish to opt-out, please contact AITD to request the removal of your details from the delegate list.
