Join us for an inside look at how CIT is transforming their workforce as part of the CIT VET Workforce Blueprint Project by upskilling staff to be future ready.

To set the strategic scene, Michelle Holden, CIT Director of Workforce Capability, will discuss the intention of the project, the drivers behind the change and tangible workforce resources being delivered as part of the project.

Michelle will share practical insights in designing and implementing the 2025 Woden Workforce Transition and Assistance Learning and Development (L&D) Plan. The new Woden building supports the workforce to adopt new ways of working in a technically enabled workplace. Discover the L&D principles and organisation-specific approach that have supported this workforce transition.

Michelle will also discuss targeted 2026 workforce L&D initiatives being implemented to support CIT staff enhance their capabilities as part of the project.

You’ll walk away inspired by the welldesigned blended learning solutions and orchestrated support that enabled CIT staff to make the transition to the new Woden building. You’ll have the chance to view the facilities firsthand, assessing how a state-of-the art environment can enable bestpractice blended learning, and the digital capabilities and new ways of working needed to deliver it effectively.

Presenter - Michelle Holden, Director Workforce Capability, Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT)

Michelle Holden is an accomplished professional in workforce development, HR and VET teaching. She holds qualifications in adult education, management and human resources. Over the last 20 years, Michelle has led many strategic workforce L&D initiatives focusing on leadership, compliance, digital skills, leadership, management and human skills for various federal government organisations. Currently, Michelle plays a key role in leading a section to implement several workforce capability initiatives to upskill CIT staff.
