AITD (Australian Institute of Training and Development) is leading a national research project titled:
How Organisations Measure the Impact of Capability Development
We are conducting a research study exploring how organisations measure the impact of leadership, learning, and capability development beyond participation and satisfaction. Our aim is to understand real-world practice - including the tools and frameworks organisations use, what’s working, what’s challenging, and how development is measured against organisational needs.
We would greatly value your participation and insights.
What’s involved
• Seeking internal approval from your organisation to participate. We intend to share key learnings with the profession through a case study–informed paper, with the option to acknowledge your name and sector
• Completing a short 10-minute online survey
• Taking part in a 30-minute follow-up interview at a time convenient to you
How the findings will be used
All responses will be de-identified and synthesised into a case study–style report. Key insights, frameworks, tools, and practical learnings will be shared with participants and presented at this year’s AITD Conference in May, contributing to broader industry learning on how development impact is measured in practice.
Next step – register your interest below
If you are willing to take part, please fill out the form below.
In late February, we will share the survey link and arrange a suitable interview time.
Your experience and perspective would make a valuable contribution to strengthening how our profession demonstrates development impact and value. Thank you for considering this invitation, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
