Learning leaders and practitioners spend their careers building capability in others, but creating high-performing teams of our own can be increasingly challenging amid growing demands, competing priorities and limited resources. Join our presenters as they share complementary perspectives on building learning teams that deliver meaningful impact while sustaining performance and wellbeing. Through two 10-minute presentations and a facilitated panel discussion, explore practical strategies for strengthening your team, influencing those around you and creating a more human-first approach to high performance.

Presenters - Tina Paterson, Founder, Outcomes Over Hours and Therese Joyce, Founder/Principal Consultant, Snow Daisy

Following her own story of burnout Tina Paterson founded Outcomes Over Hours, where she helps leaders and teams create the clarity, focus and ways of working needed to deliver meaningful results in times of transformation. With 25 years of experience leading complex change across 12 industries and 15 countries, Tina brings a human-centred approach to improving performance. Her work explores how learning teams can increase their efficacy by aligning effort, energy and capability around the outcomes that matter most.

Therese Joyce is Founder and Principal Consultant at Snow Daisy, where she helps leaders and teams create healthier, more human workplaces through evidence-based approaches to leadership and organisational development. Drawing on a MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and more than 20 years of experience leading teams across education, not-for-profits and international organisations, Therese translates research on how people think, feel and work into practical strategies that help teams thrive in complex environments. Her work explores the human foundations of sustainable performance that enable learning teams to navigate change while continuing to flourish.

Key takeaways:

  • Identify the conditions that enable learning teams to thrive under pressure: understand how positive psychology, team dynamics and human-centred leadership practices can strengthen resilience, engagement and sustainable performance.
  • Learn how to increase team impact without increasing workload: explore practical approaches for prioritising high-value work, improving focus and creating clearer ways of working that help teams achieve more with limited resources.
  • Apply strategies to build and sustain high-performing learning teams: gain insights into the leadership habits, performance systems and everyday practices that help teams maintain effectiveness, adapt to change and avoid burnout.
