- AITD News
You're expected to lift capability across the business, show the executive team what it's worth, and do it with a small team and a fixed budget. AITD connects you with the practice, research and peers to do that well.
In-house L&D in the private sector
Most corporate L&D teams are small, often between one and twenty people, supporting a much larger workforce. You're designer, facilitator, project manager, data analyst and business partner, sometimes in the same week. Our corporate members come from financial services and insurance, energy and utilities, resources, transport and infrastructure, retail and technology.
What's shaping corporate L&D
- Proving value. Leaders want to see learning linked to performance, risk and retention, not completion rates. Earning a seat at the table starts with speaking the business's language.
- AI at work. Your people need AI skills, and AI is changing how L&D designs, delivers and measures learning.
- Leaders and managers. Manager capability remains the strongest lever for culture and performance.
- Regulated training done well. From the Financial Accountability Regime in banking and insurance to WHS duties on psychosocial hazards, compliance training needs to change behaviour, not just record attendance.
- Skills for change. Energy transition, automation and restructuring all need reskilling at scale.
Research and insights
Start with AITD's Future Learning Design research on the state and future of the L&D profession, and our webinar series on learning science and AI. We are publishing regular white papers to help inform our profession.
