L&D Uncensored: What’s happening in Learning & Development in the ACT right now

This is one of the most important—and sometimes scary—times to be working in learning and development. Organisations are depending on L&D more than ever to build workforce skills, navigate AI, and respond to continuous change. Many L&D practitioners are navigating this in real time, often alone or with just a few colleagues.

Whether you work inside an organisation, operate independently, or consult across clients, this breakfast event is an opportunity to step back, connect with fellow practitioners, and have an honest, grounded conversation about what is happening across our profession.

Already we know that those of us in L&D today are all wondering about:

• The application of AI in learning design—what is working? what isn’t? and where is practice ahead of the headlines?
• Our experiences of working in L&D today—in-house, sole practitioner, and consulting roles all include challenges and workarounds—so what have you found that sustains L&D impact over time?
• Where do you see the profession’s future—how do L&D professionals build capability, demonstrate value to our business, and remain relevant in rapidly changing environments.

L&D Uncensored will be a relaxed, conversation-led event with no presentations and no set agenda. To both anchor and launch our discussions, attendees will be given a one-page summary of current trends, insights, and data from across the L&D landscape, but individual conversations will be shaped by you.

This session is capped at 25 participants to support genuine, high-trust conversation. Whether you have previously attended an ACT-AITD event or not, and regardless of your background or experience level, you will be truly welcomed to meet others in the L&D family and share your experience.

This event is open to members and non-members. Attendance is free, with participants purchasing their own breakfast on the day. Places are limited and early registration is encouraged.
