James Stack is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Obvious Choice, an AITD award-winning learning solutions provider. James works with clients to implement evidenced based learning including microlearning and spaced repetition. Their solutions draw on the fields of neuroscience, behavioural economics, marketing and cognitive psychology. She brings deep expertise in talent development, clinical education, and behavioural change—creating environments that spark curiosity and motivate personal growth.

With a background in nursing and adult education, Renee blends clinical insight with strategic capability planning to support a high-performing, compassionate workforce. Her work is grounded in the belief that meaningful learning drives better care, stronger teams, and lasting impact across the aged care sector. 

Tom Cleghorn - Head of Organisational Capability, Northline

Tom Cleghorn has played a pivotal role in transforming Northline’s compliance training program by implementing microlearning and spaced repetition.

His innovative approach, which included breaking training down into 3-5 minute daily chunks, significantly increased learner engagement and reduced the cognitive load on frontline workers. His pilot and scale strategy ensured successful onboarding to this new way of learning for employees, embedding job specific of critical safety risks and meeting legislative training obligations. His measured and considered approach introducing microlearning and spaced repetition won Northline a LearnX Diamond Award for Best Implementation of a Learning Technology in 2023.
