Join us for a practical fireside chat on how AI is reshaping learning and development, from discovery through to design and delivery, without losing the human work that drives trust and behaviour change.

We will cut through the hype and get specific about where AI genuinely speeds up learning work, where it introduces risk, and how to apply it responsibly in real organisational conditions.

Expect straight talk on what to automate, what to protect, and how to keep quality, inclusion, and governance intact. You will leave with clear, usable approaches you can trial immediately across your learning cycle.

Facilitators: Beth Hall, Carly Hall and Jo Spriggs

Together, Carly Hall, Jo Spriggs and Beth Hall bring a practitioner lens on learning and capability in fast-moving, complex organisations. Their experience spans consulting and culture work with founders and executives, leading enterprise learning functions, and scaling learning programs in global operational environments. They share a focus on what actually works in practice: strong learning design, credible stakeholder partnering, and outcomes that hold up beyond the workshop. In this session, they will bring an honest, grounded view of how AI can strengthen L&D when applied with clear judgement and appropriate governance.

Carly Hall is Head of Learning Programs at Amazon and has been with the organisation for 10 years. She brings extensive experience scaling learning programs in complex, fast-moving operational environments where consistency, speed, and quality all matter. Carly’s perspective sits at the intersection of learning design, operational execution, and measurable performance outcomes. She is focused on how AI can augment learning teams while keeping rigour and accountability intact.

Jo Spriggs recently wrapped up as the Chapter Lead of Learning & Growth at 7-Eleven Australia, following earlier work as an business performance/Agile Coach. She is known for building practical capability approaches that stick in the day-to-day - not just in theory, and for helping organisations embed new ways of working across diverse frontline and corporate environments. Her perspective spans culture, performance, and the growing role of AI in shaping how people learn, adapt, and work.

Beth Hall is the Director of Culture Edge, partnering with founders, executives and boards to strengthen culture, leadership and capability in scaling organisations. She takes a systems view of AI, focusing on the culture, operating conditions and governance required for AI to work at scale without eroding trust or accountability. Beth brings senior experience from Australian HR Institute and Cotton On Group, translating strategy into practical ways of working. Her work sits at the intersection of performance, people systems, and responsible adoption of new technology.

Key takeaways:

  • How to identify the highest-value AI use cases across the learning cycle (discovery, design, development, delivery, evaluation), and what to avoid.

  • Practical prompts and workflows to improve speed and quality of learning design, while keeping human judgement and stakeholder trust at the centre.

  • How to lift AI literacy in your team and with business stakeholders so AI becomes a capability, not a gimmick.
