AITD Facilitator: Ben Palmer

Ben completed a PhD in Psychology at Swinburne University where he created the first Australian model and measure of emotional intelligence, known today as the Genos Emotional and Social Competency Inventory. He holds adjunct academic positions at Swinburne University and Torrens University where he continues to conduct and support research on the assessment and development of emotional intelligence.

Together with Swinburne University’s commercialisation arm, Ben founded Genos International in 2002. Genos has operations in Australia, North America and Europe and distribution partners servicing clients in 33 countries and in 28 different languages around the world. Organisations around the world use the Genos model and measure of emotional intelligence to help improve leadership, wellbeing, customer service, sales, and teamwork. Ben is a fellow member of the Australian Institute of Training and Development.
