About Me

Hi, I’m Dr Liz Kirk. Founder of the boutique training company Beyond Ergo. My PhD research won the Deans Award at the University of Queensland in 2013 PhD. My research showed that to reduce the already high rates of pain, absenteeism, stress and attrition, among knowledge workers, companies must help staff build a wide range of WHS and wellness skills that enable them to manage an increasingly complex array of work choices, including working remotely, sit-stand workstations, multiple screens, laptops and mobile devices. Add to this the health risks we know are linked with our increasingly sedentary work and lifestyle. These include a higher risk of heart attack, type 2 diabetes, a range of cancers and depression.
I would like to connect with any executives, managers or business owners interested in improving labour costs, simply by extending current training to include ergo and self-care competencies.
