About Me

I am a Learning Design consultant with over 20 years’ experience from working in-house and as an external consultant.

I am like the Sherpa, who helps clients climb Mount Everest. I do the heavy lifting, but I’m more than a pair of extra hands. I know the terrain, so recommend the safest route to take. I know what equipment is needed. My client’s success is my success, so I motivate them, support them and direct them as needed. People call on me when they can’t get to the summit on their own. Or, they call when they don’t know what the summit looks like. I’ve been there before and can paint the picture for them and outline the way there.

I work with clients to create learning strategies, curriculum designs, and development and coaching programs that help employees be better and organizations be more successful.

I design courses for elearning, online and in-person delivery in these areas:
√ Leadership development and leadership coaching
√ Sales and customer service
√ Systems implementation
√ Compliance and regulatory

I have distilled my knowledge and experience with online training into a five-module program to help Learning and Development Professionals respond to the shift to online as a result of COVID. Over the three-week program, Redesign for online: process, templates and support, participants work on an actual program the need to redesign for online delivery.

In my 20 years in Learning and Development, I’ve learned the value of having a partnership approach when working with clients. I’ve built up a ‘library’ of resources and approaches for bringing content to ‘life’ and designing programs in a way that has an impact on performance. In my partnerships with clients, I bring expertise in learning design, leadership and excellent project management skills. My clients bring their expertise of the organizations – the culture, values and systems – that shape what will (and won’t) be successful.

In 2019 my client Shad Canada and I received a training design award from the Institute for Performance and Learning for a blended program that included and elearning course and in-person sessions.
