AITD Facilitator: Chemène Sinson

Chemène Sinson is the founder and principal at Blackwater Projects, an independent practice that helps individuals and organisations design and implement learning experiences that improve performance.

Chemène uses her diverse background in education to inform her work. An Olympian, she has coached elite athletes and mentored coaches. In the school system, she has taught kindergarten, year 12 and a few years in-between. Since launching Blackwater Projects in 2000, she has worked with a mix of corporate, community and government-sector clients throughout Australia and internationally.

Chemène has contributed to Australia’s VET sector since 2000 and specialises in TAE qualifications. In addition to delivering TAE programs, Chemène produces TAE materials that more than 100 training organisations have used to date.

Chemène runs professional development events for new and experienced trainers, facilitators and assessors who want to go ‘beyond the basics’. She works with her professional network to remain informed of the latest research and trends in learning and performance around the world and is a regular speaker at conferences and special events.
