The brain plays a central role in all learning, motivation and behaviour.  To create more effective learning journeys, it is essential we take a brain-based approach to L&D design and delivery.

Join Loretta Mitchell from Neu Perspectives as she distils key principles from the neuroscience of adult learning into five core areas for designing and delivering learning with the brain in mind.

In this session, you will learn practical ways to embed knowledge into memory and behaviours into habits using the NeuroEMBED model as a guide:

•       Environment – creating positive learning environments, both within the brain and the ‘classroom’.

•       Memory – building long term recall by delivering information in ways that taps into the brain’s memory processes.

•       Behaviour – managing unhelpful behaviours that limit learning and using techniques to calm the emotional states that drive them.

•       Engagement – increasing motivation, curiosity and drive to learn, by engaging the whole brain.

•       Development – extending learning and practice over time to support the development of new habits.

This session provides an overview of key concepts covered in AITD’s latest one-day interactive program ‘Applying the Neuroscience of Adult Learning’

Key Takeaways:

  • Identify how the brain impacts learning, motivation and behaviour
  • Incorporate key principles to help your learners remember new information
  • Extend learning environments to build new behaviour habits
