Adapted from a broader AI leadership workshop, this interactive session will explore how L&D professionals can help others distinguish useful insight ('signal') from potential distraction ('noise') as AI becomes part of everyday work. Through knowledge sharing, facilitated discussion and activities, participants will leave with concepts and questions they can apply when supporting AI-related learning and conversations in their organisations.
During this course, you will learn how to establish ground rules, engage with participants, keep content on track and deliver pertinent results. Our experienced facilitators will model best practice as you work your way through the learning process, engaging with the content and other participants, and reflecting on experiences.
AI is moving quickly but knowing what’s genuinely useful in L&D can be harder than keeping up with the latest tool. Join AITD for our first networking breakfast in Parramatta for a practical, interactive session built around the collective experience in the room. We’ll compare how AI is being used across L&D, share real examples of what’s working and what isn’t, unpack the challenges getting in the way, and surface ideas worth borrowing from each other. Whether you are just getting started or already experimenting, bring what you know and leave with more: fresh ideas, practical examples and a clearer sense of what’s worth trying next.
This relaxed, peer-led conversation is designed to help you:
Benchmark your own AI use in L&D by seeing how others are approaching adoption, experimentation and more embedded use.
Build your judgement around where AI adds value, including where it can genuinely improve L&D practice and where human expertise still matters most.
Leave with practical next steps, including ideas, examples and approaches you can test or adapt in your own role or organisation.
During this highly interactive course you’ll have ample opportunities to practice as we work through everything from warming up and preparation, voice and body control, gestures and visuals, to reading an audience, and conveying authority and power. You’ll learn how to strengthen your presence, engage an audience, communicate effectively, structure content to suit a purpose and increase your persuasiveness.
Many L&D professionals are operating in environments where priorities shift, expectations are high, and decisions are made quickly –often without a clear understanding of the capabilities required to deliver the desired outcomes In this context it is critical that you are able to contribute impactfully, are listened to, and can work with stakeholders to shape responses that align with strategic priorities and build capability –not simply respond to training requests.
This program is grounded in practical application –working through real scenarios where there are competing priorities, differing views and pressure to deliver outcomes. Participants will engage with others facing similar challenges, providing an opportunity to network, compare approaches and strengthen professional practice.
L&D Project Management dives into planning, end-to-end processes and explores the Project Management Body of Knowledge methodology. If you want to run complex L&D projects, add theoretical frameworks and discover some practical tools and methods that will assist in your journey, then this course is for you.

As the year starts to pick up pace, this spring coffee catch up gives you a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the local L&D community.
It’s informal, conversational, and designed to help you build genuine connections — the kind where ideas are shared, challenges are normalised, and no one feels awkward walking in alone. Come for the coffee, stay for the conversations. No registration fee - you pay for your coffee and breakfast.

This program provides essential knowledge of the brain’s role in learning and offers a strong practical focus to translate the latest neuroscience into the design and delivery of effective learning experiences. By distilling the latest neuroscience across five core areas of learning design and delivery, the NeuroEMBEDTM Framework helps L&D practitioners to create programs that embed knowledge into memory and behaviours into habits. These include:
Environment – creating ideal learning environments, within the brain & classroom
Memory – tapping into the brain’s memory processes to build long-term recall
Behaviour – managing behaviours that limit learning
Engagement – increasing motivation, curiosity and drive to learn
Development – enhancing learning transfer and development of new habits.
This program builds on the broad introduction provided by AITD’s Adult Learning course. This additional program expands on key concepts, providing specific brain-based approaches for effective learning design and delivery. Neither program requires prerequisites or prior knowledge.
