Your opportunity
Reporting to the Learning and Leadership Manager, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and embedding impactful learning and leadership experiences across Anglicare. As the Learning & Leadership Development Specialist, you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to build capability, support leadership growth, and enable our people to do the best work of their lives — aligned with our Vision, Mission and Values.
You will bring a balanced approach across facilitation, instructional design and stakeholder engagement, delivering both face-to-face and digital learning solutions that create lasting impact.
With integrity and accountability, you will:- Facilitate engaging face‑to‑face and virtual learning experiences, including induction, leadership programs and core capability training
- Design and develop high‑quality learning solutions, including workshops, e‑learning and blended programs
- Partner with leaders and stakeholders to identify learning needs and deliver fit‑for‑purpose development solutions
- Lead the end‑to‑end design of learning programs aligned to organisational priorities and culture
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning experiences
- Develop and maintain learning content within the Learning Management System
- Contribute to leadership development initiatives, pathways and capability frameworks
- Provide coaching, guidance and learning expertise to support leaders and teams
- Ensure learning solutions reflect best practice in adult and experiential learning
- Support the implementation of learning and development strategies, programs and initiatives

About the Opportunity
As the L&D Specialist – Technical Competency Frameworks, the role sits at the centre of shaping how capability is defined, developed, and sustained at ASC. It leads the design, establishment, and long‑term success of enterprise‑wide competency frameworks across critical capability areas.
Working in close partnership with contractors, Organisational Development, and external consultants, the role translates complex role requirements into practical, embedded frameworks that teams can confidently apply.
Once established, ownership of the framework’s ongoing evolution, governance, and relevance ensures continued alignment with business priorities, workforce planning, and future capability needs. This is a highly visible, customer‑facing role with deep engagement across subject matter experts, leaders, and external partners, well suited to work that requires collaboration, influence, and a focus on making change sustainable.
Responsibilities:- Partner with contractors and external consultants to design and establish competency frameworks.
- Work closely with Organisational Development to embed governance and long‑term maintenance requirements.
- Define and document competencies, proficiency levels, and performance indicators across critical roles.
- Lead the ongoing maintenance and refinement of competency frameworks once established.
- Engage extensively with subject matter experts to capture role‑specific capability requirements.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, and focus groups to validate competencies and behaviours.
- Ensure competency frameworks align with organisational strategy, workforce needs, and values.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, clearly communicating purpose, benefits, and outcomes.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal customers and external partners to ensure continued relevance and adoption.
