About divisional councils

The AITD community of practice

Our LinkedIn group is where members and L&D practitioners keep talking between events. Post a question, share something that worked, or find someone who has solved the problem you are working on.

Each month a practitioner opens a conversation on a topic L&D teams are dealing with right now. Sector conversations bring together people working in the same kind of organisation, from government and defence to health, VET and corporate teams. Examples of the kinds of topics we explore:

  • Using AI in learning design without losing the human edge
  • Showing the impact of learning to leaders who hold the budget
  • Building capability in regulated workplaces, beyond tick and flick
  • Passing on knowledge before experienced people retire

Join the AITD LinkedIn group

Coming in 2027: member-led communities of practice for specialist areas of L&D. Join the group to hear about them first.

Find your local division

Six divisions, each run by volunteers who work in L&D. Events are planned by people who know the local scene, and more now run outside the capital cities.
